The fashion industry has a significant impact on the environment, with factors such as pollution, waste, and resource depletion. Transparency and sustainability in the fashion industry are essential to mitigate the negative impact on the planet. When creating Ashe, sustainability was at the forefront of every decision and practice used to produce and package our garments.
Our Fabrics: Where possible we have chosen to use natural fabrics such as organic cotton and Rayon. These fabrics are both 100% biodegradable. We also use shell buttons and cotton labels…yep that’s right…no plastic here!
Organic cotton is soft and breathable, making it the perfect fabric choice for sleepwear. Organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, which can be harmful to the environment and human health.
Rayon is known for its soft and silky feel, making it a popular fabric choice for clothing. The smooth texture of rayon comes from its fine fibres, which are tightly woven together to create a lightweight and breathable fabric.
I’m certain you will love the softness of each of these fabrics on your skin!
Manufacturing Process: We manufacture our garments in a small, female led factory in Bali, Indonesia.
We only produce our garments in small batches to help eliminate waste. Small batch production can reduce the amount of excess inventory and unsold garments that end up in landfills. By producing only what is needed, small batch production can help to minimize waste and reduce our environmental impact.
Furthermore, our small batch production supports a local business and community in Bali, by creating jobs and fostering a sense of connection and collaboration.
We also create our scrunchies from offcuts of unused fabric, which helps to reduce waste while giving our customers a fun accessory to match their sleepwear!

Packaging:
We have put so much time into sourcing plastic free packaging!
Each garment arrives in Australia in a small bag made from the cassava plant which protects it during its journey to us.
We then carefully pack your garment in recycled tissue paper, pop it into a Hero Mailer and place a thermal printed postage sticker on it (both 100% biodegradable). We are proud to support Hero Packaging, another Australian, female founded, small business leading the way in sustainable packaging solutions.
Finally, the most exciting part happens… it begins its journey to you!
Creating a sustainable brand, without compromising on quality is so important to us here at Ashe. We hope you are excited to receive your special package sent with love and care, all the way from Central Queensland.
